Expert Family History Resources

The field of personal history is vast and complex. Personal historians focus on family stories, but very often photos, family documents and artifacts are part of that story. And of course, personal history almost always contains an element of genealogy.

As a boutique firm, we've worked hard to develop relationships with outside experts who meet our standards. From guest bloggers to experts in their field, here's a sampling of the individuals we're proud to work with.

Caroline Guntur is a Certified Photo Organizer, and loves all things organizing and technology. She has a B.A. degree in Visual Communication from Hawaii Pacific University, a M.A. degree in Arts, Entertainment & Media Management from Columbia, as well as an ESL certificate from Cambridge University.

Caroline is a professional member of the National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals (NAPO) and currently serves as Director of Technology & Communications for the Chicago chapter. She is also a member of The Photo Managers, and the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG) and all of their respective Chicago chapters.

Lynn Nelson, founder of Nexus Genealogy, is a professional genealogist specializing in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Italian research.  A former IT professional with decades of personal family history research experience, she turned her favorite hobby into her early retirement job.

Lynn is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, the National Genealogical Society, the Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania, the New England Historic Genealogical Society, and other groups. She volunteers at the library and archives of the York County History Center, where she was a 2019 Volunteer of the year.
